Samsung held 2022’s first Galaxy Unpacked Event yesterday and unveiled its Galaxy S22 lineup of hotly anticipated flagship smartphones along with Galaxy Tab S8 series of flagship tablets.
And Even though we kind of knew what was coming from a long time now but we would still love to hear it officially from Samsung. So, here’s each & everything revealed by Samsung at the Galaxy Unpacked Event:
Galaxy S22 Ultra

The main spotlight of the event was the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra; Samsung’s ultra premium flagship smartphone that replacees the note series of smartphones. Unlike, its predecessor which supported the S Pen as an optional accessory the Galaxy S22 Ultra will ship with one by default.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 Ultra with a starting price of $1,199 (approx. Rs 89,852) will come in four colours including Black, White, Green, and Red and is powered by a 4nm Octa-Core SoC and features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ 1440×3088 display which supports maximum refresh rate up to 120Hz. Whereas you can get the smartphone in a few memory configurations including one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage or 12GB of RAM with either 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of internal storage.
On shifting your focus to the back of the device you’ll find a new and improved quad camera setup which comprises of:
- 2MP f/2.2 Ultra-wide sensor with 120° FOV
- 108MP f/1.8 Wide sensor with 85° FOV
- 10MP f/4.9 sensor with 10x optical zoom
- 10MP f/2.4 sensor with 3x optical zoom
Galaxy S22 & S22+

Along with its ultra premium flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra Samsung also revealed it’s S22 & S22+ of mid-range flagships that are very similar to each other yet differ in few places here and there.
The Galaxy S22+ includes a 6.6-inch display, paired with a 4,500mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 45W and Wi-Fi 6. Whereas the Galaxy S22 features a 6.1-inch display paired with a 3,700mAh battery, 25W charger, and Wi-Fi 6 support.
However, both the smartphones have the same 10MP camera on the front and the same triple-camera setup on the rear which includes a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP wide-angle along with a 10MP 3x optical telephoto lens.
As for its pricing and availability the Galaxy S22 starts at $799.99 (approx. Rs 59,951) whereas the Galaxy S22+ starts at $999.99 (approx. Rs 74,939). Both smartphone will be available in four colors including Black, White, Green, and Pink with the base memory configurations starting from 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

And finally, last but not the least Samsung also unveiled its latest Galaxy Tab S8 series of flagship tablets, comprising of three models, including the first-ever Ultra tablet from the tech giant that is targeted as a competitor to the Apple iPad Pro.
All the three new models ship with a 4nm processor, a S Pen in the box, ultra-wide cameras, quad speaker setup, and triple microphone setup with noise-cancellation. Additionally, all three SKUs will also support fast charging up to 45W, which will charge the tablets in 90 minutes.
- The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra priced at $1,099.99 (approx. Rs 82,470) offers a 14.6-inch display with a maximum resolution of 2960×1848
- The Tab S8+ priced at $899.99 (approx. Rs 67,476) includes a 12.4-inch display with a maximum resolution of 2800×1752
- The entry-level Tab S8 which is priced at $699.99 (approx. Rs 52,481) includes an 11-inch display with a maximum resolution of 2560×1600
Meanwhile, you can get the Tab S8 Ultra in black with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage whereas the Tab S8+ and Tab S8 are available in three colors including Black, Silver, and Pink with maximum RAM up to 8GB and internal storage up to 256GB.
