Elgato is a brand dedicated to the content creator, featuring all the consumer technology products. Elgato has built its reputation as the brand of choice for streams that need gears to get started. The brand makes its own LED lightning ring, stream decay, sound-damping pads, green screen, and a lot more. Now, the brand is selling its first-ever webcam.
The Elgato Facecam offers up to 1080p resolution that records up to 60fps paired with a Sony-made STARVIS CMOS sensor. The device might not be able to capture in 4K, but most of the content creators and streamers don’t need that much resolution right now. To make up for the lack of 4K, the facecam features a robust suite of setting in its dedicated camera hub program. You might need software to act as the interface between the game capture, stream deck, mics, and lightning control center.
The device is the ultimate webcam with a pro-grade lens with a cutting-edge image sensor with high-speed circuitry that outputs stunning uncompressed video. Featuring prime lens with f/2.4 aperture and focal length of 24mm*. In case the device gets heated, it cools down operations side by side. To save the setting directly to the camera Flash memory card is installed inside the camera. To clamp onto a monitor it has a 1/4-inch thread. You can view up to an 82-degree field of view to get up close and personal or get your surrounding in a single frame.
Talking about system requirements, the device supports up to Windows 10 (64-bit) running on Intel or AMD CPU. For connectivity, the webcam supports USB 3.0 or higher. The Elgato webcam is priced around $200 (approx Rs 15000).
