The world of cryptocurrency just took Coinbase a step further into Europe. Now, if you are a Coinbase cardholder, you can register it in Apple Pay for use as a debit card.

Coinbase Card Compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay

Coinbase said in a blog post that, “You can now use your Coinbase Card with Apple Pay and Google Pay to make it even easier to spend crypto at home and on the go.” Also the company will begin offering cashback spending reward features to waitlisters this week. The card is available across the U.S and a variation rolled out in European markets in 2019.

Coinbase has approximately 56 million verified users, 8,000 institutions, and 134,000 ecosystem partners in over 100 countries trust Coinbase to easily and securely invest, spend, save, earn, and use crypto.

Coinbase Card allows users to pay digitally in normal shops, grocery store, cinema halls, and places which accept digital payment.

To use this facility provided by Coinbase, you just have to register with your Coinbase debit card on Apple Pay or Google Pay to use it like a normal debit card.

Benefits of Coinbase 

Of course, there are benefits and boundaries. Concerning the first category, it will be possible to recover up to 4% of the rewards during your shopping sessions if you use this payment method.

Also note that at the time of payment, the cryptocurrency used is denominated depending on the currency of the country where you are making the transaction. To put it plainly, it cannot be that advantageous in some cases to pay in Bitcoin or other.
