Black Shark 4S is Scheduled to Launch on October 13

Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro gaming-focused smartphones were launched earlier this year, and now the arrival of Black Shark 4S has been confirmed. It could launch as an upgrade to the vanilla Black Shark 4. Today, the company took to Weibo to announce that the Red Magic 4S will launch in China on October 13 at 3 PM local time.

The launch poster teases phone’s internal image, confirming a horizontal camera array with three sensors, like the Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro. It does not reveal any specifications. However, the company will put on more teasers in the coming days that will tell us more about the device, like its design and key specifications.

The Black Shark 4S is unlikely to bring design overhaul. It may bring some minor changes, but the overall design will resemble Red Magic 4. The device is expected is be fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset. It is likely to offer 120W fast charging and improved cooling system.

Recent reports suggests that the Xiaomi-backed company is also in the works to launch Black Shark 4S Pro. It could come with some upgrades over the Black Shark 4 Pro, which was launched earlier this year.

Coming back to the Red Magic 4S, it could bring some hardware upgrades, most likely a better chipset and a better set of cameras. To recall, the Red Magic 4 has 144Hz Super AMOLED FullHD+ display with HDR10+ support. It has Snapdragon 888 SoC, 64MP triple rear cameras, 20MP selfie snapper, and a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The company has shared several camera samples of the Red Magic 5S, showing the camera capabilities of the phone.

We are just a couple of days away from the launch. It means that the company will put teasers to build hype around that will reveals more details about the phone.
