Asus ROG Phone 5s Key Specs Leak: SD 888+ SoC, 144Hz OLED Display, and more

Asus ROG Phone is the company’s high-end gaming smartphone series. The latest one is the ROG Phone 5 series which includes – ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. Now, it seems that the company is gearing up to add a new member to the ROG Phone 5 series which is said to be called ROG Phone 5s.

An image containing key specs of the phone surfaced on the internet today. Asus is yet to officially reveal the existence of the ROG Phone 5s.

Asus ROG Phone 5s specifications (rumored)

As per the leak, ROG Phone 5s will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. The phone may come in two memory configurations: 16GB RAM + 256GB storage and 18GB RAM + 256GB storage.

The smartphone could feature an OLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate support. Asus ROG Phone 5s may pack a 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. Being a gaming phone, we are most likely to see sound buttons, Asus gaming features, a dual-cell battery to reduce heat, and a dual USB-C port to have better gaming while keeping the phone plugged into the charger.

The Snapdragon 888+ SoC is Qualcomm’s latest chipset which has a prime core running at 3.0GHz. Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will be the first to launch with this new chipset, which is set to go official today (August 10). IQOO 8 series is next in the line for this new SoC, and now, we have ROG Phone 5s on the list.

However, the company is yet to confirm the arrival of a Snapdragon 888 Plus-powered gaming phone. We’ll get to know more about the phone, once it starts surfacing on the certification / benchmarking site or through any leak.
