Apple Releases External Magsafe Pack For The iPhone 12 Series
The “external MagSafe battery” is something like an additional battery especially for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.

This came as no surprise that, Apple has now developed its own external battery pack, as other unauthorized manufacturers were selling such kinds of “Powerbanks”.

The External Magsafe gets connected to the back of the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and other models. To charge the accessories Apple advises using a 20-watt USB-C power adapter and a USB-C to Lightning cable.

According to Apple, Users must have at least iOS 14.7 to utilize the product. At the same time, the operating system update can be used to display the battery’s charge state in a widget.

In India, the “External MagSafe battery” is available for 10900 INR. A USB-C cable and a sufficient power supply unit are necessary to charge the external battery yourself.

The product is currently only available in white color and in one size. Unfortunately, Apple does not provide specific information about the external MagSafe battery’s capacity. If you order now, the accessories will arrive between July 22nd and July 26th.

How Does it Works?

Apple’s MagSafe Battery Pack is based on the new MagSafe technology, which was first launched with the iPhone 12 last year. It combines magnets and NFC technology to allow users to not only perfectly connect accessories to the back of the iPhone, but also to charge the device quickly via inductive charging.

To utilize the external battery, simply place the MagSafe Battery Pack on the back of the iPhone rather than plugging in a wire or connecting it to the iPhone via Lightning. Other MagSafe compatible accessories are already available on the market, but users may now get an official Apple solution.

Apple claims that consumers may recharge the MagSafe Battery Pack’s internal battery using the built-in Lightning connector in a support article released earlier. This can be done regardless of whether or not the attachment is linked to the iPhone:

If both your iPhone and MagSafe Battery Pack need to be charged, you can charge them at the same time. Attach your MagSafe Battery Pack to your iPhone and then plug the MagSafe Battery Pack into a power adapter.

However, according to the same article, there is another way to recharge the MagSafe Battery Pack: reverse wireless charging.
