At the last event on September 13, Apple announced four new iPhones, namely the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13 Pro, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max, alongside the new iPad Mini and Apple Watch Series 7. However, there was no word about the rumored MacBook Pro or the Mac Mini featuring the new M1X Processor.
Various rumors and leaks suggesting that Apple would hold its second event in October turned out to be accurate. Apple finally announced its second event of this fall on October 18. We can expect to see the following new devices:
New M1X 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro
Apple has been rumored to be working on a new, smaller 14″ MacBook Pro for some time now. It seems that we might finally see a new MacBook Pro being released at the event on October 18, as previously pointed out by Mark Gurman earlier this week. Apart from this, twitter user @dylandkt; who has a proven track record; suggests that the new MacBook Pro models will feature:
New M1X Apple Silicon ARM-based Processor, with a Mini, LED display which will support 120Hz ProMotion while having smaller bezels and no “MacBook Pro” text at the bottom. It also flaunts a 1080p webcam up top, with the Base model starting with 16GB of RAM+512GB of storage, as well as a supposedly new redesigned MagSafe Charger.
Redesigned Mac Mini Featuring M1X
The previous M1 Mac Mini was really great, with fantastic performance thanks to the Apple M1 Chip but, it looked the same on the outside and featured only two USB-C thunderbolt ports.
However, Apple might announce a new, completely redesigned Mac Mini featuring the latest Apple M1X Chip at the event on October 19. The new Mac Mini could feature the new MagSafe connector for the power cable similar to the one found on the 2021 iMac and four USB-C Thunderbolt ports.
New Budget-Friendly AirPods 3
Apart from the Mac Mini and the MacBook Pro, we anticipate that Apple might also release a new budget-friendly version of AirPods that looks like a mix of the classic AirPods and the AirPods Pro.
