Amazon Introduces a Free Video Streaming Service

miniTV has content from top YouTube creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Prajakta Koli, Sejal Kumar, and Malvika Sitlani.

Amazon has launched an in-app mini tv video streaming platform with curated web series, tech videos, and other content in India.

In a blog post, Amazon stated “With the launch of miniTV, Amazon.in shopping app is now a single destination for customers to shop from millions of products, make payments and watch free entertainment videos,”

Currently, only Android users can use the new video streaming service. In the coming months, the iOS and mobile web versions will be released.

Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Round2Hell, Harsh Beniwal, Shruti Arjun Anand, Elvish Yadav, Prajakta Koli, Swagger Sharma, Aakash Gupta, and others have collaborated with the e-commerce giant. Content on technology, fashion, and beauty will also be available.

A food section of the service includes videos from Kabita’s Kitchen, Cook with Nisha, and Gobble, among others. In the coming weeks, Amazon promises to add a slew of new and exclusive videos. It’s worth noting that Amazon Prime and miniTV are two separate platforms.

According to the firm “miniTV is completely free and it does not require a separate app. Prime Video requires a Prime subscription and offers a collection of award-winning Amazon Originals, latest movies and TV shows, in English and 9 Indian languages. Viewers can access Prime Video on the app or stream it on their smart TVs,”

How do you get access to Amazon’s miniTV?

All you have to do to watch miniTV is open the Amazon app on your Android phone. There is no separate option to access the new service right now. To access miniTV, simply open the Amazon app and scroll down a little. Once you’ve found it, tap on the miniTV to be taken to a new section that includes free web series and other content.
