Almost a year after launching the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini in India, which proved out to be the compay’s most popular smartwatch, the Chinese smartwatch maker has introduced a new and improved model of the same watch, which will now be priced Rs 1,000 lower than its predecessor, at Rs 6,000.
While the number improvement aren’t that that huge over its predecessor, the lower price point is much welcomed and appreciated as you will see below:
Amazfit GTS 2 Mini Design & Specifications
Starting form its design, the new GTS 2 Mini features the same an aluminum alloy frame with a plastic back along with skin-friendly silicone straps, whereas the watch weighs around 19.5g without the straps and is also waterproof up to 5 ATM. This means that it will offer water resistance up to a depth of 50 for 10 minutes.
As for its specifications, the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini features a 1.55” AMOLED display that supports a maximum resolution of 306x354px and up to 450 nits of peak brightness. Meanwhile, users will have the choice to choose between over 140 watch faces out of which 60 are compatible with the always-on-display function.
Coming to its sensors, the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini comes with Amazfit’s proprietary BioTracker 2 optical heart rate sensor, which also measures blood-oxygen saturation (SpO2), built-in GPS that work without being connected to a smartphone, built-in microphone to summon Alexa along with the usual sensors including accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and an ambient light sensor.
Last but not the least, the smartwatch is powered by a 220 mAh battery that can be changed within two hours and is rated to offer around 14 days of regular usage or 7 days of heavy usage. Additionally, the smartwatch also offers a basic mode that disables most features to keep it running for 21 days.
Pricing & Availability
As for its Pricing and availability, the new version of the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini will be available to purchase on April 11 at a special launch day price of Rs 5,000 and Rs 5,999 after that.
Additionally, users will also have the option to choose the smartwatch in three pastel colorways including, Breeze Blue, Flamingo Pink and Meteor Black.
