Following Xiaomi’s launch of multiple Mi products earlier this week, including the Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Mi Smart Band 6, and Mi Mix Fold, Mi Smart Band Despite the late March announcement, Redmi’s Product Director Wang Teng Thomas teased a commenter that a new device will be released in April.
After a Weibo user stated that no new phones would be released in April, the Redmi Director responded with a query, implying that Redmi would release a new phone in April.
The Density 1200 chipset, which is reportedly comparable to the Snapdragon 870 in performance, has been rumored for Redmi’s upcoming smartphone. According to recent news, Redmi’s upcoming gadget is codenamed ‘Ares,’ and we may be looking at a new gaming smartphone with actual shoulder triggers.

A 5,000mAh battery, 65W charging support, and a flat OLED screen with punch-hole selfie camera – all made with Samsung’s latest E4 screen – are among the other rumored features. As one of the cheapest gaming smartphones to enter the market, pricing is projected to be in the range of CNY 2,000 to 2,500 ($300-380). According to PlayfulDroid, there’s a chance the Redmi phone will come to India with POCO branding, possibly branded as a POCO F series smartphone.
